A Fall Sunday in the Garden

I don't know what happened to this tree's limb.  It looks like it was trying to leave quietly, but what is with that ripped bark above?

Fields of lilles, fading fast

A single rose is meant to last

Blue petals strewn most everywhere

The butterfly says "no, not there!"

The birds.....

I saw this on Broadway at 97th street and I'm still disturbed by it.

And then we got a little closer....

Roses with butterflies in August

A butterfly on blue.

A butterfly in profile

Drinking pollen upside down.

Stepping off the polinator

A butterfly disguised as a fish.

Prickly roses coming to greet you.

Roses languishing in the heat.

A rose urging you to follow.

Hester Prynne's rose.

This is not Hawthorn's rose.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

We went back to Brooklyn Bridge Park and I have new possibilities for wallpaper, if you love buildings as much as I do.

How we can start over

It's not like this tree is a metaphor for anything....

Botanic Garden...wallpaper options

Here are some more options for your computer's background.

Azaleas:

Tulips:

Myrtle Eurphoria

Roses with a referee:

Wet painted roses

What we would like as a backyard

A hovering bee:

A suckling bee:

What bee is knocking?

What would a bee knit?

A field of roses at the end of the rose room.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

I think I'm falling in love with the Japanese Poppies at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The geese are hiding, but this one is impersonating a sleeping cat

One poppy is worrying what world the other is blossoming into,

one bee makes its choice

and another shows off.

This flower is not feeling well.
